Indeed.com alternative job feed APIs for job websites

In 2024 Indeed.com is ranked number 1 as the most popular website worldwide in the Jobs and Employment category. Until recently Indeed.com was also offering an API (Application Programming Interface) that allowed developers to access and integrate job listing data from Indeed's extensive database into their own applications or websites. This API provided access to job search functionality, allowing developers to retrieve job listings, filter results based on various criteria such as location or keyword, and display them to users.

The Indeed.com API was the most used job search API integrated in our Jobs Portal web software product, allowing to create advanced job board sites and thanks to Indeed.com, at the moment when launching the job website, our users were able to have hundreds of thousands of jobs already on it in many different categories and for most of the countries in the world.

So after Indeed.com discontinued their API, we had to work on integrating alternative job search APIs and provide them on request to our customers as external modules and extensions. We present below some of the main APIs that can be used with our products and we keep working on adding more or also integrating new APIs on request.

1. CareerJet

Careerjet offers an excellent API that allows developers to integrate job search functionality into their websites. The steps below provide some general guide on how you might integrate the Careerjet API into a PHP site.
To use the CareerJet API it's necessary to register on https://www.careerjet.com/partners/signup.html and obtain your API key.

4. CareerBuilder Job Widget

CareerBuilder does not publicly provide a free, open API for job search. Therefore, integrating CareerBuilder job listings into a site might not be straightforward, as direct API access may not be available. However, CareerBuilder does offer a solution called "CareerBuilder Widget" or "Job Widget," which allows embedding  job listings on your website. This widget is essentially an iframe that you can customize and include on your site. Users can search for jobs within the widget, and the results are displayed within the iframe.

5. Monster

The Monster Job Search API allows performing job searches, retrieving job listings, and filtering results based on various criteria such as location, keyword, job type, and more. It's possible also to access details about specific job listings, including job descriptions, company information, and application instructions. To use it, it's necessary to sign up for a developer account on the Monster Developer Network to obtain the required API credentials.
