Version 3.0 of PHP Mall is already available!

New dashboard in the vendors admin space

The new dashboard in the vendors admin panel provides statistics to the vendor for his current products, pages, news etc. and also allows to review the recent products and has quick links to change the store template and manage the structure and content.
From the dashboard the vendors can also see the last posted product reviews and add new products.

Product Reviews

The new products reviews functionality allows the customers to rate the products and post a review. The reviews and product rating show up after on the page showing the detailed information for the product.
The vendor can see and manage the reviews for his products from the vendors admin space.

Customer Loyalty Program

The new customers loyalty program allows the customers to earn points when they shop online (the products participating in the program, as well as the points can be set by the vendor).
The customers can after that redeem the earned points and use them for example to get a free product (from the ones selected by the vendor).

Multi level global product categories

In earlier versions only the vendors were able to create multi level categories for their products on their stores.
This feature is now available also to the administrator for the global categories - the sub categories show up on the main mall website with dynamic menus.

New templates for the vendors

26 new user templates have been added for the vendors to choose from. The users can additionally customize their templates from the vendors admin space, as well as create their own templates.

New WYSIWYG editor

The new WYSIWYG editor has more user friendly interface and better browsers compatibility.
It can be used by the vendors to modify the content of the pages of the website, when posting products fro the detailed product description or when posting news on the store/website.
The new WYSIWYG editor is available also for the administrator in the main admin panel.

Boolean products search

The new Boolean products search makes possible to search by combinations of words (in previous versions only exact search was performed). Boolean operators like AND (+), OR, NOT (-) can also be used to limit, widen, or define your search

New admin panel

New wider and improved admin panel - with new icons, new layout of the results and tables and others improvements.

Improved thumbnails

The quality, aspect ratio and loading speed (thumbnails caching has been added) has been improved, so now the thumbnails load faster and with much better quality.

Different currencies for the vendors

Using this new feature, the vendors can select already the currency of their store.

Easier website configuration

The new Configuration Options page in the admin panel allows to easily configure the website and set for example the default currency, the time zone and others.

Vendors profile management improvement

The vendors can now manage easier their profile, upload their logo to be shown on their store etc.

Improvements of the regions and tax management

The administrator can already manage the default countries, states and tax zones from the admin panel. A new tax zone "European Union" (including the EU countries) has been added allowing the EU merchants to easily charge VAT for their sales.

Main new features added in version 2.0 of PHP Mall

Improved front site layout

The front site layout has been improved, it includes already a latest products section in the middle as well as improved SEO urls (for the categories, products and news).
The generated thumbnails have been optimized for better performance and to preserver the images ratio.
With the current version, it's already possible for the vendors to log in to their admin space using the log in form on the front site. This fixes the confusion in v1.2 in which the vendors have to use a separate log in form), so in the current version there is one log in form and the type of user (customer or vendor) is automatically recognized when entering the username and password.

The administrator has already possibility to define sales commissions and fee per sale - he can charge after a percentage from the sales of the vendor.

Stock management

This feature can be turned on or off from the configuration file. When turned on, the vendors have to fill the number of available items for the products. Every time a product is purchased, this number will be decreased and when it becomes 0, an "out of stock" message will be displayed and it won't be possible to order the product anymore.

Improved vendors admin panel

For better security, the vendors admin panel has been separated from the main admin panel (they were common in version 1.2).
It's now better organized and improved and is using the front site template.

New store templates

New store templates have been added. They are wider and using div / css layout.

Taxes

Using this new feature, the vendors can define taxes for their products. The taxes can be defined separately for each region and product category.

Clone store templates

A new feature allows the administrator to add new store templates, by simply using the design of an existing store.
This allows to add fast more templates, which can be made available for the other vendors / stores.

New payment options

Two new payment options have been added for the vendors - alertpay and amazon payments. The vendors can activate them from their admin space and use them to accept payments from their customers.

Newsletter

The new newsletter functionality allows the administrator to send newsletter to the registered vendors or customers.

Multi user admin

The main administrator can now add additional users (administrator) for the admin panel and assign them different permissions for the pages of the admin panel.

Add vendor

New functionality allowing to add vendors directly from the admin panel has been added.

Stores locator

The new stores locator page allows to search stores (from these registered on the website) within selected distance.
The page can be activated or deactivated from the admin panel.
