In the form for making new posts in the News Lister admin panel, you can find a total of 5 fields - Title, News Content, Images, Add Map and Written by, with only Title being required by default. You may please find below a brief description of these fields.

Title

This is the news title, which will show in the search results and news list page and also with big font on the news details page. The title will be also used automatically as meta title for the page for better SEO and also the first 4 words from the title will be used in the links when the SEO Urls option is turned on

News Content

You can edit the content of the news with the web editor available on the page or if you would like to add the content directly in HTML, you have to click on the last button in the editor "HTML" and use the HTML box and field, which will show up.

Images

The images upload field allows you to select up to 25 images to be uploaded and showed on the news details page. The images are uploaded with an AJAX technology and for all images you can see a progress bar showing the status of the upload. Please note also that in order to speed up the site loading and optimize the occupied space on the server, all uploaded images are resized and compressed and you can control the size and image compression from the Settings page in the admin panel.

Add Map

This field and functionality allows you to add and show a map on your news listings - you have the option to add the map by either inserting an address (you have to enter the address and click on Preview and Save, which will show you a preview of the map and save it) or by entering the exact latitude and longitude of the map.

Written By

It's an optioncal field allowing you enter the name of the author of the news. If you enter the news author name, it will show up then on the news details page on the front site.
