We are looking for a PHP developer who wants to take responsibility for the continued development and delivery of important business systems. You will work independently on key PHP applications, with support and guidance from the rest of the team, and you will be comfortable explaining things to non-technical people and turning customers' needs into specifications.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain PHP applications
- Work with the business to identify and deliver improvements
- Find and fix problems in PHP applications
- Keep our services consistent and reliable
- Manage the back-end architecture and infrastructure of PHP applications
- Document applications and write knowledge materials
- Support client websites: development, support and maintenance
- Test your own work and your colleagues' work thoroughly
- Help with the company website from time to time
Skills and experience
- Strong understanding of PHP and object-oriented programming
- Front-end development, Bootstrap is a plus
- Relational databases (MySQL or MariaDB)
- Configuring, maintaining and securing Ubuntu and Nginx servers
- PHP security principles and secure development practices
- Knowledge of PHP and its extensions, with their limits
- Version control with Git
- Experience with AWS for web applications (EC2, RDS, S3)
- Experience connecting to external APIs
- A wish to keep learning and to find innovative solutions
