The script does not use any database. All data is stored in local XML files, making PHP Poll fast, lightweight, and extremely easy to install—just upload the files and start using it.

Using the functionality in the administration panel, you can quickly create your online polls with the questions you prefer and the possible answers - the possible answers can be added one per line and they will show after to the user to choose from.
You can manage your saved polls and edit the poll questions and possible answers and settings. The polls can be also easily added in other sites by pasting an iframe code or you can also send a direct link to the users, to complete the poll on the site / server on which the script is hosted.
Some of the options, which you can edit include to enable functionality for SEO urls on the site, choose the accent colors and preferred font and size for the polls, set if the poll results should be shown to the users, set if the poll votes should be limited to one per IP etc.
From the administration panel you can check the results of the different polls you create and also details for the users and votes (including the user's IP address, date of vote and user name, email and other information if you selected the poll to not be anonymous).
When creating a new poll, you can set if the poll should be anonymous or the user should be asked for his contact details (name, email and phone). The anonymous polls only show the survey questions / answers without asking the user for his name or other contact information.
PHP Poll doesn't use any MySQL or other relational database - the information is stored instead in local XML files. This makes also the installation quite easy because to install it on your server or hosting package, it's only necessary to upload the script files in the folder you with (no need to install previously a database or create database configuration files).
