Installing News Lister is as easy as copying its files to the folder or website on which you wish to install it. It's neither necessary to run a web installer, nor create any databases - it's because the news information is stored in XML files and no MySQL or other relational database is used (which makes also the site fast to run and load). The script and its full non-encrypted source codes can be downloaded as a .zip file. The file can be unzipped and uploaded to your website folder to setup easily News Lister on your site.
The administration panel coming with the script makes adding the news quick and easy. It also allows to manage the different settings like the website time zone, date format, admin email and others.
The advanced WYSIWYG editor coming with the script allows to format and edit the news content, insert in them lists, tables, format the fonts and others. It also provides the option to edit directly the html code of the news or paste your own html code.
News Lister is easy to translate - it's using a language (text) file having the words and messages showing up on the main site and admin panel. So in order to translate it to a new language, it's only necessary to translate this file and not multiple source files. We also have ready translations available, which we can provide for free on request.
You can upload and attach multiple images to your news posts - a jQuery multi-files upload plugin is used for the images uploading, so you can add easily multiple images at once. During the images upload a progress bar is displayed to show the status of the upload. The uploaded images can be modified also later or their order to be changed with the included drag-and-drop functionality. If more images are uploaded for a news, on the main website they should after with a gallery (using the prettyPhoto plugin).
The contact form allows the users to contact you and send their messages or questions - the messages are sent by email to the email address of the administrator, as set on the Configuration Options page in the administration panel. A CAPTCHA image (human verification) is also added on the contact form for a better spam protection.
The main website as well as the administration panel are using responsive templates and design. The design adapts to the different devices and different screen sizes of tablets, computers and smart phones. The usage of bootstrap 3 templates makes easy the integration of new templates or adding the news lister script in other existing bootstrap websites.
The integration of the Google Maps with the GEO coding API makes easy to add maps and show them with the news. The maps can be added by entering an address for the map or by entering the exact latitude and longitude for the map.
