E-mail and SMTP

The script sends e-mails for bookings, registrations, password resets, messages and payments. Good delivery needs a correct sender and, ideally, SMTP.

Sender

Enter the sender name and an address on your own domain, for example bookings@your-site.com.

SMTP

Copy PHPMailer (PHPMailer.php, SMTP.php, Exception.php) to include/php-mailer/.
Tick Send e-mails through an SMTP server.
Enter server, port, security (SSL or TLS), username and password from your mail provider.
Save and send a test: register a new user or submit the contact form.

Without SMTP the PHP mail() function of your server is used. This is fine for tests, but messages from it often land in spam.
