Real Estate Portal Troubleshooting Guide
Solutions to the most common problems, with the first thing to check.
Common problems
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Blank page or error | Set $DEBUG_MODE = true; in config.php to see the message, fix it, then set it back to false. |
| Images do not upload | Make uploaded_images/ and thumbnails/ writable and enable the PHP GD extension. |
| SEO URLs give 404 | Enable mod_rewrite and AllowOverride All, and make sure .htaccess was uploaded. |
| E-mails not arriving | Configure SMTP in Configuration Options, use the test button, check spam folders. |
| AI does not respond | Check the API key and use Test the connection. The built-in parser keeps search working meanwhile. |
| Stripe payment not marked paid | Check the webhook URL and signing secret, and look at the webhook log in Stripe. |
| Maps do not load | The visitor's browser needs access to openstreetmap.org tile servers. |
| No alerts or expiry | Set up the cron job. |
| Cannot log in to admin | Use the password from installation; reset it in the admin table of the database if lost. |
