Publishing Events: Packages and Approval
A new event starts as a draft. The publish step puts it live, either immediately or after the administrator approves it, and takes payment if the site charges for listings.
The publish step
After you save a new event you arrive at Publish your event. What you see depends on the site settings:
- Listings are free: a short confirmation and the Publish button.
- Listings are charged: the available packages with price, duration and included featured days. Pick one, optionally enter a coupon, choose a payment method and press Publish.

With card or PayPal you are sent to the secure payment page and the event is published when the payment is confirmed. With bank transfer the payment appears in Payment history with the instructions, and the event goes live after the administrator marks it as paid.
Moderation
If the administrator did not enable Publish events without approval, the event first gets the status Pending approval. You are notified on screen and the administrator approves or rejects it in Manage events. A rejected event can be edited and is then sent for approval again.
Event statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Saved but not published. Only you can see it. |
| Pending approval | Waiting for the administrator. |
| Active | Live on the website until it ends or the listing period expires. |
| Rejected | Not approved. Edit it and it returns to the queue. |
| Cancelled | Not shown to visitors anymore. |
Listing duration
A listing stays visible for the number of days of the chosen package (or the default set by the administrator), and never after the event has ended.
Duplicate, delete, cancel
- Duplicate copies the event with its ticket types as a new draft one week later. Images are not copied. It is perfect for recurring events.
- Delete removes an event completely. If tickets were already sold, the event is cancelled instead so that orders are kept.
- Past events lists events that already took place.
